Default Drive shaft question

My driveshaft looks like crap all rusted up. If I spray it with undercoating, will that mess up the balancing? Since undercoating is kinda thick.

You most likely will throw it off balance. A little elbow grease and emery cloth or even a course ScotchBright pad should clean it up.

Surface rust, it's normal, DO NOT spray it with undercoating.

Here's a pic of my drive shaft when I had right at 500 miles on the truck, still brand new.

Ever hear the saying looks can be deceiving? It applies to this subject. My truck is now 5 years old and the d shaft looks exactly the same and still does it's job.

Under coating is too thick and heavy. What about cleaning the rust off and spraying a THIN / LIGHT coat of clear on it. Your exhaust looks great so I could see where it would bug you.

It's normal, no need to do anything to it. That's my exhaust, Magnaflow SS, it'll never rust. The rust color shaft don't bother me in the least. It's a non issue.

It leaves rust stains on my concrete driveway when water drips off it.
