Does it suck!?
Here's the thread I started to keep track of my progress on the rebuild.

Also, keep in mind that depending on your state laws, you might have a branding process which prohibits you from putting wrecked or flooded vehicles back on the road. In my jurisdiction the truck has to go through a very thorough inspection and the shop has to put together a book documenting exactly what was done to the vehicle in order to get it back to factory specs. I then have to go to another shop which aligns the vehicle and does another check before I can actually drive it on the road. Flood vehicles here are an automatic branding and can't be put back on the road in any legal way. With that said, you should find out the history of your truck and what your local requirements are for vehicles that have been written off by insurance companies (if that's your case).

its very similar to what you said. we go through an R title inspection that has to be done by a qualified mechanic with proper license. I will check out my car fax on it though if it had flood history. the story with my truck was that it
was a front end damage run and drive. per auction info of course.
