I much preferred the layout if my '11 Nav. I could see song and artist on the radio and a half screen map. Climate I didn't care so much about, but it was nice.

If you hit the voice command button again it cuts off the "blah blah blah" and goes back to waiting for a command. There are also some options in MFT to to cut back the amount of talking the computer does. Tap the "Settings" (gears on bottom), then "Voice Control". In here the "Interaction Mode" can be set to "Novice" or "Advanced". Advanced will cut much of MFTs chatter.

I know I sell them , but MFT really is quite good once you get the hang of it.

Interesting. Happy that you like it and it works for you.

For me, it almost ruins the truck. It's easily the worst feature of the truck...no contest.

The Mini Cooper that I traded in on the truck stayed paired with my iphone for 2 years. The truck won't stay paired for 2 days. No amount of button pushing fixes it, unpairing the phone doesn't help and if I "delete" the phone, it reappears after the truck is restarted (Zombie phone!). Yanking/resetting the fuze is the only fix. It's very disappointing and makes me feel like a sucker for spending so much money on something that works so poorly. I regret the MFT/Nav/Sony upgrade...I could have spent the Nav money alone ($800) at Crutchfield or Amazon or even Best Buy and been so much happier.

Maybe I just got a bad one, but if my truck is representative of the "tech" that Ford is buying from Microsoft, somebody should be getting fired. It's awful.

I wonder if it's the phone. Once setup, my android connects almost instantly when I get into the truck and has never had an issue. Motorola RAZR max hd.

Factory Nav was not an issue for me when I bought my 11 Lariat. I have a Tom Tom 2535L with free map updates (quarterly). It also has Live Services with traffic, fuel prices, and Google search. If you can't find a certain POI in your area you simply google it, click it, and go.
