Do you use a locking fuel cap on your truck? I have the type that is actually a gas cap that goes on the filler tube that uses a key. It is kinda a cheap lock that could be easily defeated, but I like the extra bit of security. We have quite a few low lives around here, and a lot of class jealousy, and I am not worried about them stealing gas as much as I am about them putting something in the tank. The locking cap does take an extra minute to remove and replace when fueling, but again it is a small piece of mind for me.

It's highly unlikely anyone's going to be walking around with that specially sized funnel to deposit anything into your tank. No I do not use that locking plug.

I’ve had a locking gas cap on my F150 since new.

It would be extremely difficult for anyone to put anything in, or remove gas from the tank of my truck. Adding another layer of protection would only make things harder for me.

Same here. Is it needed? Probably not but the new design is stupid...........it tries to solve a problem that never existed.

I don't live in or frequent a crappy enough area that I would bother.

Hi, No! I have never had any problem that would require a locking gas cap. Been driving for about 58 years.

Before my F150 I was driving Hyundai cars for almost a decade. I really thought the truck was missing the gas cap completely at first. I did get the locking cap just for some extra security and peace of mind. I do work in Chicago, and on the south side, so who knows what the locals might try. Some coworkers had catalytic converters cut off their cars a few years ago so I'm paranoid.
