I chose 4x4 for two reasons..... Because of were I live (Montana), and second....around here, the only way to get a 2wd pickup is to order one. If you show up at a dealership in this area with a 2wd truck wanting to trade it in...they will just tell you "We won't take it."

^ thats pretty crazy, guess you guys are pretty serious about that 4x4 up there, not us florida boys lol, i know a lot of people that are but there are more street trucks here. I will be happy with the stock truck for a while but i would like to do wheels and tires in the future.

Anyone wanna give me a quickie on gearing? ive been reading for hours and dont quite get it. If i decided on the EB ( leaning that way) on a FX2 Screw, for performance what would be best gear options and is that any different for the better fuel economy? see a lot of 3:55 and 3:73 but idk what is better why?

3.55 will lower your RPM's on the highway but you will not be able to tow as much.

3.73s will be a little higher RPM on the highway, but towing will be better and the truck will be faster off the line.

4.10 will result in high RPM on the highway but will give you the most towing capability. It will also reduce your fuel economy.

3.55 is the most economical for gas and 4.10 is best for towing. 3.73 is a good compromise IMO and will give a good balance fuel economy and towing capability.
