Mine was CAN$32K with max tow, rear view camera & sense, trailer mirrors, 20" wheels ... but before Freight, Taxes, dealer surcharges and all those other things you don't find out about until the very end.

All Factory rebates as I understand it.

Ya falcon i noticed they are about the same list prices. I love the idea of the possible good gas mileage of the EB but seems like its soo hit and miss with good mileage because of being in high boost although i do love when those turbos kick in amd pull.

You have a few more options than I do. I didn't have to worry about dealer surcharges or advertising fees and paperwork cost.

I drove 80 miles round trip today. almost all hwy at 65 with no air on. 22.9 was my ending average. 5.0 with 3.73's in the ***. Same mpg as my in-laws minivan. I was going for mileage though. Average driving is more like 21ish and 17-18 with mostly town mixed. I just put a tonneau cover on it tonight so I will be watching the mpg again.

It's the opposite. 4x4 is less payload.

The max tow 145" SCrew with EB and 4x4 has max payload for a 4x4 @ 1960 lbs. 80 lbs greater than the max tow EB SCrew 4x2 @ 1880 lbs. 200 lbs greater than the std tow EB SCrew 4x2 @ 1760 lbs. The 2WD 157" SCrew EB std tow has the most payload @ 2000 lbs for a SCrew.

The max tow EB 4x4 is the outlier.

My last truck, that I bought when I lived in Chicago was 4x4 - not even a thought given to a 4x2 while I lived there. Had that truck in Dallas for 6 years and used 4x4 about twice a year when I got caught out at work and an ice storm hit.

I opted to skip 4x4 on the new truck as the added cost just wasn't worth it to me living in Dallas. I don't get offroad much if at all, and I tend to hibernate at the house when we do get any kind of snow/ice.

.

Ah ok, I didn't know that. With the Max Tow package the 4x4 SCrew's 145" have an 80# advantage and a 10# advantage with 145" SCab's. Otherwise the 4x2's have the advantage AFAIK. And the weight difference jumps around a lot more than I thought too.

My favorite is the 145" RCab with Max Payload : 3060# (about one and half tons). And why do we still call these half-ton pickups?

It's no longer a classification based on the ability to haul as that has been exceeded for some time now but from a marketing standpoint it would not be wise to reclassify trucks to match the payload. We are so use to "half ton's" as a model unto themselves that to bump it up would thoroughly confuse the hell out of to many suburban cowboys.
