If you're not going to tow or haul much, and you aren't into racing the next guy off the light, if you're really into good city mileage, get the 3.7L V6 with 18" rims (lighter wheel will cost less gas to get rolling). The 3.7L V6 is a great engine with excellent mileage. Would make a great city truck.

I never have or will offroad the 150... I have plenty of other toys for that:

But for the sole reason that it can snow alot here and I live/drive in the hills, I didn't even consider 2wd. In your case, go 2wd.

As stated get the 2wd, get an XLT if you dont want leather and dont care about the center counsal. As far as motors if you do a lot of city driving go with EB and then you have a little more pop than the 5.0. As far as tires you can get the chrome package with 18s and put a different tire on or get basic tires and rims. Im not a 2wd guy but a lot of guys level them and put rims and tires on them and they look fantastic. Plus if you get the XLT you will be saving a few grand and you can put that towards the level kit rims and tires. Just my opinion. Where I live there arent to many 2wd but Im in the snowbelt

You can get buckets in the XLT with a huge centre storage console. You just don't get the console shifter area....at least that was in 2010.

I live in Indiana and only use my 4 wheel drive in the winter and only on the side streets mainly since snow removal is pretty good here. The only reason I'd get it if you don't think you need it is resale value. Seems like more people are looking for 4x4 than 2wd. In my opinion.

It's not slow. Keep in mind this engine still has 305hp and revvs to 7K. A tune from superchips will add 30 lb/ft torque and 44 hp (or so they claim). I bought a 3.7 4x4 and it has plenty power unloaded. It pulls just as hard if not harder than my old audi 1.8T that was chipped and had turbo upgrades. Coming from a fast car, I was worried the 3.7 would be too weak for me. It exceeded my expectations.

The 3.7 4x2 is the only truck available in the XLT custom package, which in my opinion, is the nicest F150 trim. Black cloth interior, painted bumpers and grille surround.

I live in the Pacific Northwest. Western WA to be more precise. So, 4wd is actually nice to have here. However.....

.....I once asked a real man whether I should have 2wd or 4wd.

He said, "Are you a man, or a mouse?"

He was 75yo at the time, and was a Sergeant in Pattons 3rd Army. I DID NOT QUESTION HIM!!!

Every truck or SUV I've ever owned has had 4wd, in honor of that great man alone.
