By any chance do you have the tailgate step. I do & some times I feel like it rattles inside the tailgate over rough terrain. Just a thought.

Inherent, eh?

So the FoMoCo builds all these vehicles with back window rattles and they say it's normal?????

There would be many, many more complaints about this issue if that were true.

Betcha their 'Test Drive' vehicles don't have a rattling slider.............cuz if I test drove a vehicle that rattled off the lot, I wouldn't have bought a Ford.

BS, no manufacturer would or should say a rattle in inherent to a vehicle. As stated, change service dept.'s, and call Ford. They need to know how you feel about this situation.

I have a 2011 FX4 with the rear window slider and it has never made a noise no matter how rough the road or how big the pot holes. If it ever does I won't settle for "it is suppose to rattle."

Different states have different rules....typically it's something like 30 days loss of use (in the shop) or 3 attempts at fixing a safety related item. I am not a lawyer, but played one in court for my divorce

They don't want to deal with it because you didn't buy it from them. Take it to the place you purchased it from and see if you get the same answer. Remember the difference in answers on your next purchase.

Just my thoughts,

Platinum, I don't have tailgate steps on my truck. For a long time I coundn't exactly pinpoint the rattle but the ford tech sat in the back and found for sure it was the back glass. Thanks Tom.
