Default Decked System Compatibility

I have a 2014 f150 SCREW with the 5.5 foot bed. I’ve been looking at a decked system for some time now, and found a used in my state less than 1/2 price of new. Only issue is that it is for the 15-20 f150 with the 5.5 bed. I looked up bed specs and they are VERY close, but what concerns me is wheel well location. I’m wondering if anyone has tried to put a newer decked system in a 09-14 5.5 bed. I don’t have access to one local to measure, and it’s about a 2 hour drive to go pick this one up if I want it.

Looking at bed dimensions for the 2014 vs. 2015, the 2015 is just a little bit wider, longer, and not quite as tall as the 2014. The 2015 overall length is the same but wheelbase is 1/2" longer. I doubt a tenth of an inch or a half inch would make that much of a difference on those dimensions.

I may be worth reaching out to Decked to see if they'll give you detailed dimensions on the 2015 unit to see if it will squeeze in there.

A coworker put one in his ‘14 5.5’ bed.

The shop had to nibble off a little bit of the plastic to get a fit. Nothing to sweat, so my thought is that these are a generic fit as it is.

The drawer and corner pockets are common parts in the system, I do believe. The Deck top is the piece cut for specific applications. There is a lot of wheel tub clearance on my 2017 6.5 ft. bed.

I think there is enough room, just not sure 100%. Deck has been quite responsive to my e-mail and phone questions, right on top of the warranty replacement of a corner box that was cracked. KM
