Default Date display help!

Good Morning, I recently purchased a used 2014 F-150. After a quick Vin search the truck was built in Missouri and sold in Canada. The bed sticker says XTR the badges on the front fenders say XLT. The truck was auctioned back in the US and I purchased it in Pennsylvania, My problem is with the date display it shows Day/Month/Year. Is this a Canadian thing and how do I change it back to Month/Day/Year?

I replied to your question you asked in my thread but I will post it here as well in case you did not get a notification that I replied. Below is my original response.

Hi Chad, Yes, I did find a solution in a round about way. As you can see, this forum was absolutely no help so I started asking around and a buddy of mine told me that I can change all kinds of settings including the date issue with a computer program called Forscan. You can down load it for free. You will need to install it on a laptop that has Bluetooth enabled or download the Forscan app to your smart phone.

The only thing you need to buy is a Bluetooth OBDII wireless adapter. The recommended brand is ELM 327 OBDII Bluetooth and id between $40-$50 on Amazon. Plug in the adapter and connect via your laptop or smart phone and go through the menu options until you find the settings for date display which if I remember was buried in the sync menus. Thats pretty much it. Well worth it for me to finally correct the issue! Hope this helps you like it did me.

actually, it's a World thing. i believe that the US is the only country that does month/day/year.
i have a 2014 XTR with the same issue. it doesn't bother me much, since i've encountered it in other countries.

Well I figured it out. No more Canadian date format. Under the FCDIM module you need to rewrite the 7A5-02-01 line **** 5553 ** is the change. Now I’m back to the good old US of A format..

From what I’ve read on here and the FORScan forum, the phone app won’t allow you to make changes.
