Default Dash light circuit

How do I access the dash light circuit on my 2011 f150 extended cab lariat? I need to connect the dash light circuit to pin 6 on my mictuning laser rocker switch to power the lower light when the dash lights are on.I need to know where and what color wire to connect .

Some LEDs (like Carling Technologies/OTRATTW switches) require a "full power" to their LEDs. The dash dimmer rheostat does not work well for "those" type of LEDs.

You'll most likely be ok on your led on that type of switch.... but in the event they do prematurely go out, .... tap into a parking lamp circuit in your pass side OEM fuse box. (Fuse #40 for most trucks)... though some models may be different.
Fuse #40 is the rear lamp circuit on mine, so check your owners manual.

Carling & OTRATTW recommend the only approved rheostat made by Autometer specifically made JUST for LED's for any future knowledge for others, if you want a dimming feature.

Dylan !!!!!!!!!!!

YOU ROCK !! Thank YOU !!
I just installed a rocker type switch for my Rigid LED reverse lights in my 2017 F150 Plat, and the rocker allows back lighting, so tying it into that circuit sure makes it work nicer and looks more OEM.
Huge help !!

Do you know if it is the same wire in the 18-19 XLT supercab F150? Where do you find these color codes?
