It's been a long 3 months with my truck, but about 2 months ago I was clearing accounts during a snowstorm and the other guys I was with were at the exit. Thought this was another exit or at the very least a curb. Nope. Retention wall.
So luckily the only damage was a scratched/gouged side step. Saved the body of my truck big time. And I got into an accident 2 weeks after having the truck so the bumper already needed replacing.
So anyway, tough to see, but it looks like this now (only good pic i have where you can see it)
So basically I'm wondering what you guys would do. I will be leveling my truck on 33s and I was thinking of some cool aftermarket metal side steps, anyone have any recommendations? I do not want to pay $600 from Ford for a new pair of oem ones. If mine can be fixed for relatively cheap, I will just fix them then. The bumper is getting fixed soon so if the aluminum steps are repairable, I can have the shop just paint the side steps while he's painting the bumper. Any thoughts?
^^^ Likewise replaced my FX boards with OEM Raptors but finding nice ones now is much more difficult than a few years ago (especially S-Cab like mine). Cheaper option remains OEM FX style such as I eventually sold on Craigslist. Happy to have mine gone as much as new owner was to get for very fair price. Win-win...
Purchase N-Fabs from RunningBoard Warehouse.
Just didn't look right on my Harley Truck, sold them on Craigslist for the price I bought them for. Ordered Ionic 61's shipping was fast and no problems
