Default Cruise Control Help

Can someone tell me what all fuses affect cruise control. I have swapped my brake pedal position (stoplight) switch. My cruise control switches (which by the way info center in that same set works fine) and still mno dice. Will not even power on (show yellow light in dash) it acts almost like the option was shut off in the computer.

It's fuse 46 10A

Do you have any DTC's? Scan all modules if you can.

No CEL (I assume that is what you mean my DTC) No abs trouble no traction control trouble. All systems check out. I will check that fuse thank you very much. Is it under hood or in passenger side kick plate? I SHOULD have had Ford check it when I had it in there but I assumed when they fixed P0315 it would start working. I have changed brake pedal (stoplight) switch with 2 different ones from salvage. Also took a new set of cruise switches from a Ford Fusion. The info center works, so I don't believe the switches are bad. Not impossible but I don't believe they or the clock spring are bad. I do NOT have one of the upper end scanners to check SCCS errors nor body control module errors. Thanks on the fuse info though.

Can someone with cruise control put the key in, leave it in the On position and see if the cruise light comes on then goes off when you first start up? I want to know if that bulb is even tested during Power On Self Test. I don't believe it is but I want to know.

When turning the
ignition ignition
key to the on position the cruise control light does not turn on. I can turn the cruise control on and the light illuminates. Starting the vehicle does not change this at all.

Thanks Pickupman66. 3rd brake light is good or at least it was lastnight. All brake lights good. Thanks for reporting on POST results. Can you tell me at what point you can turn the cruise on? In other words do you have to be in Drive and foot of brake? or do you have to be in drive, foot off brake and at least 40mph before you even get the yellow light? Basically as I troubleshoot test. I want to know how soon I will know if it is fixed or not or If I will have to drive it, get out of the neighborhood, get up to 40 then test.

The red cruise light would illuminate without vehicle running . Would not engage and turn green
