Default Corsa DB

My new Corsa db exhaust showed up yesterday. My current set up is a 18" Magnaflow with stock tail pipe and ford res delete pipe. I like the sound but sick of the drone and just wanted something different. Plus, the shop that welded the muffler in did a crap job and the welds are not going to last through to many Wisconsin winters.

Wont get time to install till next weekend but will update with some clips. I was surprised how large the tip was.

Found time sunday night to cut off the old exhaust and install the Corsa. IMO its definitely louder on cold start then the Magnaflow i had. Going to drive it a week or so and see how i like it before deciding on putting the resonator back on.

Its weird how the sound seem to come right out the tail pipe on this set up. With the Magnaflow the sound seemed to come from under the truck more or just made all around more noise in the truck. The Magnaflow had a deeper tone where the Corsa has more bark IMO.

Corsa

Magnaflow

I think the Corsa sounds much better. How is it with drone?
Is the Corsa a packed muffler?

The corsa has no packing in it and has no drone. I have both Mufflers stacked on my truck no drone and has the deep tone.

I just installed the Corsa on my Eco and think it sounds pretty good. No drone whatsover in the cab. Next step is to delete the resonator.

No drone.

Its hard to explain in words..its like the Magnaflow had resonance? or drone inside the muffler which gave it sound under the truck and inside the cab? if that makes any sense? Even when there was no drone the MF still had more noise inside the cab. Where as the Corsa there is no sound under the truck or inside the cab like the MF it all exits out the tail pipe. So when you drive the truck the "sound" isnt inside the cab you hear it behind you which is kinda weird for me coming from the Magnaflow.

I work a loud factory job and there are times i would get off work with a headache and even though the Magnaflow had mild drone it was not welcome. The drone was minimal IMO, so if you dont mind a small amount the Magnaflow sounds great. Keep in mind i removed the resonator from my set up cause with the resonator in place and the 18" MF there just was no tone to the exhaust and was not much louder then stock.

I may put the resonator back on just out of curiosity.
