Default Cooper AT3's

What dose everyone think about the Cooper at3's? I've got a 2014 F150 Eco 4by4 with the off road package. I do about 65 miles or so round trip to work a day. I'm looking for a good A/T tire with good mileage. I do very little off roading. I need something that dose great in snow.

If you do 65 miles a day, don't go off-roading, and are looking to retain decent gas mileage, I would suggest a light weight highway tire.

I bought a factory size of these tires in P metric.

I really like them. They have about 20k miles on them and are probably a little less than halfway worn.

I would recommend them.

I will never own another set of coopers. My last set (cooper zeon ltz's) were the biggest pile of crap. I had them on my truck for 20k miles and they were about toast.

Had to balance them multiple times between rotations

I don't do very much towing. Maybe one a year hooking up to a 18' trailer with a Ford 8n then a motorcycle trailer

I had a set of Cooper AT3's on a 13 Silverado that I owned. They were quiet and smooth and were fairly good in the white stuff...BUT the wear wasn't up to snuff in my opinion. When I traded this truck they had around 20K and maybe had another 5K left in them. Rotated every 5K and kept aired up.

In my opinion there are better choices.

Also, I don't know if this is the case with the AT3's but once upon a time Cooper proudly advertised "Made in America." This is no longer the case as I ordered a set of Coops for the wife's car and they were proudly made in China.

I know they are a Japanese company, but I I think they are US made...I'd look at Toyo's Open Country ATII.

I've never owned Coopers and probably never will, but one of my good friends put them on his Tahoe and this was definitely similar to his experience. they were a 285/70R17 and were absolutely impossible to balance. after 4 attempts in 2,000 miles he was finally able to get the hum to go away, and also confirmed that his alignment was within spec. the tires had noticeable feathering both inside and outside edges by 7,500 miles and now with about 15,000 miles they're more than halfway gone and he doesn't drive hard at all.

I had stock size Nitto Terra Grapplers which are made in the USA, were about $170 a piece in the 275/55R20 size, and still 10/32" of tread remaining when I sold them with over 20k miles to go up to a larger tire. they were quiet and I saw no negative affect on fuel economy but they were still capable in snow. I have had 7 or 8 sets of Toyo Open Country A/T tires and can't say a single bad thing about them, but I'm not sure if they're US-made.
