So far, according to the dealer the recall is only 2011\2012. I have 65k miles on this 2013 which is just out of warranty. Ford has been working with me on cost for repairs. However the dealer has removed the transmission and disassembled it to perform leak checks. Now they want to change the front hydraulic pump, over drive clutch assembly, 4th and 6th gear shuttle valves, and so on. My projected cost right now is $1,300.00. Oh and parts are on back order. I've mentioned the suspected part to be looked at from the recall, because I'm still not convinced the dealer has found the smoking gun problem in the first place. It's almost like they are afraid to seek help from outside the dealership on this.

Well I don't own my 2013 F-150 5.0 Supercab anymore as I traded it for a 2016 Mustang GT back in February but I will share the issues so that others are aware.

3rd brake light leak...Replaced with a NEW OEM Ford brake light and still leaked.
Metal around door strap was CRACKED/SPLIT
Doors rattled every time you closed them.

My truck had 47K miles and I owned it for 3 yrs. Motor was GREAT and I had no issues mechanically but the leak and door issues turned me away..

Here is the pic of the door split....This was the drivers door which was used very often, the passage side was just starting to crack and that door was never used..

About half the reviews on that say it's just a placebo. Not spending that kind of money on something that may or may not work, and not doing anything about it until the truck is out of warranty.

I would love for that to be so simple and work. I've also heard 75% say the same thing.
The placebo effect. The other 25% are just all over the place..."Best invention, works great, took out a little of the throttle lag."

The only problems that I had on my 2010 were the rotors sucked and the sync system would freeze for a few minutes, every time I'd change the radio station, it would freeze and I couldn't control anything.

Takes only 4 hrs if you only take off the center control instead of the dash.

Can I just let it go with the leak? What's the downside?

If there are existing threads on this issue, please link... search pulls up a lot of unrelated mentions.
I had that happen to my 2000 F150 that had 187,xxx miles, traded her in for a 2014 F150 FX4.

Other than that she was in good condition with the exception of a little rust between the supercab door and the wheel well.

I know that mine was upgraded to the cast iron manifold which they stated was an upgrade from the past but I'm not sure when they initiated the update.

Here's some noises my 13' makes occasionally when I start the truck.. thinking blend motor or actuator... sounds like drivers side... gonna be a pain to get in and fix. What do you guys think?

Rotors are not great and glaze/warp easily. Had one rotor turned and one installed new on warranty at 30xxx km or so.
Sync freezes sometimes after a phone call and refuses to play audio of USB.
Oil pan leak around same time, pan was dropped and new sealant put on. Oil pan is leaking again now at 51xxx KM.
In for drivers side door harness for speaker twice. HVAC blower was replaced due to squealing at rattling last winter when it was -15c or colder. Would go away once truck warmed up so a fun time trying to get the dealer to actually hear it. This winter its happening again.

So far no water leaks at third brake light, but I have a topper that maybe protects it somewhat?

Basically making a list as I have 8000km left on factory 3/60 bumper to bumper. So at the very least i want my blower replaced (assuming they actually replaced it last time and didnt just spray in some lube on the bearings) and my oil pan leak fixed properly (also assuming they dropped pan, though I could see marks on the cross member bolts etc so pretty sure they did)
