Which color for a guy that lives on a dirt road?
I live about 1/2 mile down a dirt road AND work at a dusty place. My Fusion is Black and It's the first AND last black vehicle I'll own due to dust. My Tbird is White and actually looks good until its really dirty, but the wife doesn't like White on the F150. We also eliminated Ingot Silver as our Mountaineer is that color and SHE doesn't want the same color again. That basically leaves us Blue Flame, Race Red, Sterling Gray, or Smoked Red if we opt to get an FX4 instead of a STX. I would think Sterling Gray would look the "Cleanest" but the wife wants more color (and my sisters 08' superduty is Sterling Grey). What's with women not wanting to "Copy" someone else?

from my experience. my dad has a 04 f150 thats red. and it hides being dirty fairly well. like it hasent been washed in 6+ months and it looks fine. and he works driving on dirt roads every weekend.

The best color for maintenance in your situation would be Pale Adobe, but don't think that's an option on FX4s. There is no "smoked red" so I'm guessing you're referring to Red Candy which is what I have. The upkeep isn't bad on it, but then again I don't live on a dirt road. Both reds and the Blue Flame will be similar with dirt on it. It won't be as easy as silver, but will definitely be a lot easier than black. So just pick which of the two you like best or just go with whichever one you find on a truck that has everything else you want on your truck.
By the way, just because one woman doesn't want to "copy" colors doesn't mean all women share the same opinion. All my exes had red trucks, and when it came to buy mine, I got red as well. Didn't care about copying; just wanted red.

I second this, I have a sterling gray and ill say it hides a decent amount of dust if you never touch the truck. if you do you end up with a dull gray (because of the dust) and a pearly gray. also im not sure i'd vote this color if you wanting to go a while without washing the truck.

Easy ingot silver hides dirt the best. I would reconsider that one, just don't get black or anything dark.

Having a Black vehicle pretty much answers your own question. The darker the color, the more probability dirt will show. I like several different colors on a vehicle but I've found that a White or at least a light colored vehicle doesn’t show dirt as easily. There is another plus to having light colored vehicles and that is, it doesn’t get as hot and take as long to cool off with the AC as darker colors. If you want to test it, just go to a dealer and find Black and White vehicles parked next to each other on a hot day and lay your hands on both of them and feel the difference.
