collinite 845
I used Collinite 845 earlier this week and am pleased with the results. I love just running my hand along the hood or door panel to feel the nice texture. I also love how bugs don't stick anymore, they just flake off!
Let it sit in the sun so it's in a very liquid state, no sun? Boil some water and stick the bottle in for same result, use the same type of applicator you would with any other wax verrrrryyyyyy sparrrrrringly a dime size spot of it will do an entire panel. Start at one fender and work your way around till everything is coated, yes the chrome glass and plastic, the WHOLE truck, then after it sits for a few mins to glaze over hit it with your favorite microfiber towel or buffer.
.
Make sure it is warm and very thin. If the sun is shining just set it in the sun for a while to thin it out. No sun - put the bottle in a pan of hot water.
No reason to use any more than a very thin coating as it just makes more work to rub in on and off.
That one bottle you just purchased should do your truck at least a dozen times.
I've waxed mine several times and the wax is down about 1".
Don't expect the Collinite to take off road tar, dirt or scratches. Those will need other treatment.
The Collinite will only provide shine to an already smooth surface.
EDIT - Rnlcomp and I were writing and posting at the same time with similar thoughts.
His comments about using Collinite on everything are right on - it makes all surfaces slippery and the paint shiny.
The easiest wax I have ever used.
