I used the word miss, I should have used the word buck, you knew something was not right when it happen, mine seemed to act worse every time it threw those codes.

Eh...I don't think so in my case. I don't recall anything being felt. And again, it seems to drive just fine still.

Did you use Motorcraft oil filters when changing oil?
All changes been done by the dealer thus far. Since the tune I have put in exhaust, amp steps, swapped out heads and tails (still standard halogen). All mods are in my sig. Dealer has been patient. They are no stranger to tuned and modded vehicles of course.

I guess I will just go back to stock and run it much longer? Should I just clear the codes using the SCT X4, revert to stock and go from there? I am of course reluctant to given the investment and overall improvements the tune makes for driving.

As I implied earlier, that would be my decision. But then, that's coming from an aging baby boomer with a much more conservative mindset than perhaps many here. Fairly recently, I spent time over on Ford Raptor Forum reading and learning all I could about most popular tunes for 6.2L engines. In the end, I chose to protect my powertrain warranty and applied those $$ instead to a FoMoCo ESP plan.

My conservative thinking wasn't always so. Performance mods on muscle cars was the norm for me, however cars/trucks were so much less expensive to buy (or repair) then than now. For example, my very first brand new car was a 1968 Camaro SS/RS 350, to which I did gears, headers, exhaust, cam, intake/carb plus ignition tuning and went bracket racing. The practice of advancing timing a few degrees for better throttle response wasn't without risks of detonation and holing pistons if not careful. Many forum members likely aren't familiar with old-tech distributors having points and condenser. Seems to me in these days of complicated ECU controls, risks are still there with custom tunes. Ford (and other mfrs) must agree by threatening to void the warranty for vehicles having been tuned.

Doubtful I'll convince most here towards my thinking which isn't my objective. Just food for thought if considering going down that path.

Ran a few hundred stock and the P0012 code came back on.

Going to dealer Monday since I am due for oil/tire rotate.

Feel bad. Not sure what to expect this time. :-/

But at least now it is reasonable to assume the tune isn't the problem right?

Had the same code come up on my 2011 5.0l stock no tuner. Turns out it's a sticky VCT solinoid under the valve cover . Dealer said they have changed quite a few of them. I haven't gotten mine changed yet. Hope to next weekend when I am back home.

I recall that being mentioned originally, so I am pretty sure they've looked into it.

Glad to know someone else had this as I had trouble finding anyone with 2011+ trucks with it. Tech there also said he's not seen anything like this before...probably referring to the reoccurring codes.

Looks like they're going to close my ticket and escalate to Ford/involve an engineer. Get truck back and they'll call me when to bring it back in.

Mentioned a cuttlecall? Assuming that's the same thing as calling Ford.

If these codes were 5* tune related, I would think these issues would be more common considering the number of tuned trucks?

Right. It's hard to find anyone here really that had a tune and proven issues because o fit.

Dealer isn't blaming it though technically. But they did want to rule it out understandably.

Dealer called me and said they finally reached an engineer after almost 2 months. They want me to bring it in Monday so they can have it for a few days and go through some of his recommendations (very technical so I don't remember what they were.)

Tune has been on since for 1200 miles now with no CEL.
