Clicking Noise 4x4 hunt
I think I might have ripped the hose during installing a lift kit. I accidentally let the arm drop a bit hard as it wasn't sitting just right on the jack. One reason I was thinking it wouldn't be the 4x4 system is that I still get the ticking noise when putting 4H or 4L on. From my understanding in 2WD the hose creates a vacuum, so I would expect then that in 4H or 4L they would be in ambient pressure and no ticking from a partial connection. Unless the axle got messed up?
Something that is a bit odd: it is tied to heat for sure. The ticking noise comes on when I first hit the brakes. The more time spent driving / braking the louder it gets. Until eventually it reaches max loudness and everyone is starting at the truck ticking like a bicycle.
Would this make sense to be the 4x4 system? The heat could be expanding the hose making any hole larger, but then again I would expect the noise to at least change when being put into 4H or 4L..
