Default Chrome or No?

I am trying to decide on chrome door handle covers. Will soon be adding chrome wheels and larger tires with leveling kit, also plan to eventually swap to a 6 bar grill (possibly painted surround) and chrome or PTM mirror backs. I also have a polished Billet grill bumper insert. Don't want to look too "ghetto". Any ideas for someone working full time and going to school while paying my mortgage and truck payment? (meaning I cant afford a 500 paint bill or to just throw some 500 limited handles on there)

Like the red and silver color scheme!

And if you go with chrome rims, I think just putting a chrome piece over the door handles would look good. Like the XLTs with chrome package look.
I think the whole chrome cover looks a little cheesy

how about a budget of not more than $200 for a pretty big difference.

you do know you can buy spray bomb ptm from a body shop right?
ptm your handles to the red.

then, use plastidip because it's supposed to be good, yet I've never tried it. anyways, plastidip your bumpers, and then use more ptm rattle cans over the plastidip to match the grey paint.

if you like, more rattle can ptm your mirrors.

I think that'll give you a pretty big difference, for a pretty good price.

I can tell you like chrome, but the plastidip does come off. the point here n now, is for you to get a good look at your truck as if it was a fx4 two tone.

can't say I've seen one of those. lol

No on the door handles. Also chrome fender trim and pilar posts look like crap IMO.

Chrome is good as long as its not around the wheel well or the door posts. Half of the trucks around where I live and half the trucks on this forum are all black and chrome blacked out--I hate the look. They all look the same, uuugley. Show a little pizzaz but don't go ghetto. That's one of the reasons I have a Platinum-a little showy without going overboard.

I think I may get the chrome handles. I can put them on and if I don't like the all chrome I still have the PTM option with less prep work for the bucket. Also if I like it then I'm good for less than $50.00 if not still probably less than 150.00 for paint and materials to spray the buckets. Personally I think unless black is tastefully used it looks a lot worse then chrome (fx2 and fx4 same color but much more dark and dull due to all the black) I am only ADDING chrome to the door handles and wheels and they will be 18's or 20's no 30's for me! I just want mine to be different from the masses (if I wanted a higher trim I would have bought it) so no need to try to change it to an fx or platinum. It is what it is (and what I could afford) nothing to be ashamed of with or without chrome handles I guess.

do not paint your door handles, they will eventually peel.
