Default Chrome door handle missing...

So while I was at work, waiting for my boss, I did a walk around of my truck. I noticed on the driver's side rear door, the chrome piece around the door handle was missing. The other three are loose. I am wondering if it was stolen, or if the adhesive failed. Anybody else have an issue such as this with the door handles or any of the other chrome pieces?

I don't know why people put those things on their trucks but that's another matter.....it probably just fell off somewhere.

I would say adhesive failure... but... you never know.

Were these add-ons or did it come new with the truck?

I noticed that your area is El Paso - could excessive heat caused the adhesive to fail? I live in south Florida and that's always a big problem down here.

I didn't put it on, I bought it used, and they were already there. I kind of like the chrome with the red candy color. Especially when I see the two side by side, the chrome looks better to me, on this truck anyway.

I am watching my security cameras now, but I am leaning to the adhesive failing. Sucks bad because now on the black peice seems , I think there are scratches, but they might come out.

x2.

Is it just me or does the recently exposed plastic look dirtier than everything else around it?

One more vote for adhesive failure.

That's all that matters. Call Putco and tell them, if their customer service is anything like it used to be they will send you one.

Yes it does look that way, it's kind of scratched, but most of that is ?dirt?. I really don't know. If you look at the bottom right of the missing one there is a little blotch, I think it's adhesive, but it's not sticky. This HAD to of happened within the last 48 hours. I did not drive it since Sunday, and it most certain was on there then. I also did not notice any of the others loose until today. It's been mid 90's for the last few days, adhesive failure seems likely. I would think it would hold up better than that though.

Putco? Call me ignorant or whatever, but I am not sure who that is. Or why I would call them. I'll probably end up buying a new one, along with some gorrilla glue or something, and fixing them all.

After furthur review I now know who Putco is. I have taken the others off, before they fall off. Looking at the truck with the black key guards, and the chrome door handle, it's different. After I clean the black part, I think I might like it?
