Default Chrome front bumper on 2012 platinum

Has anyone done this? I'm a little curious as to what it would look like. My front bumper has started to blister pretty bad, and just wondering if anyone has replaced their painted bumper with a chrome version. Mine is the white diamond tri-cote, if that makes a difference

If you do that, better replace the rear. Why not just repaint?

My 2012 platinum is in the body shop as of this moment getting the front bumped sand blasted and repainted. Not letting my baby rust this winter from stone chips

Have both of your present bumpers chromed... Might be cheaper, check and see....

I would love to have mine chromed.... Maybe some day.....

I so wish the bumpers on my 2010 Platinum were chromed. They'd look nice a lot longer, that's for sure.

You know, the next F150 I buy I will order from the factory and it will have every feature that a platinum has on it without the platinum package even if it costs more. This way I can get chrome bumpers and not have to look at that silly new tailgate design every time I walk out to my truck.

Thought about repainting, just was hoping someone replaced theirs with chrome, so I could get a visual. About a week after i bought the truck new, applied 3m on the bumper to help with the chips. Was good for the first 3 years, now moisture must have gotten trapped in between the film, and the paint is really blistering bad.

I'll be doing the same thing or getting a KR with the chrome package, which then doesn't have the aluminum tailgate design. Never was a big fan of it, and the new Platinum tailgate looks even worse, IMO.
