I have no gas cap mine is 2011. Truck seems to be running fine.... I have 18,000 km's on it and it never sits still. So could be bad gas??

I drive it everyday. And I use deep clean gas treatments every thousand miles. Its just under a year old.

steady light, ok to drive emission related, flashing light is bad!

Seriously though, you gave the most vague description ever and are asking to know what it is? Are you serious? Call your dealer, not the forum. You gave no code description. If the light is on there will be a code. Your "tuber" is junk or you don't know how to use it.

What makes you people think it's emissions related.. It could literally be anything at all.

And stop being a dick, people come to the forums to ask about their vehicles, he asked and he got an answer 10 posts ago, keep your rude unnecessary posts to yourself and stop ruining it for everyone. He got a CEL, tried to read it and couldn't and asked about it here first. There's no harm in that.

In the last couple years Ford has put out some really specific diagnostic trouble codes that most scanners won't read, so that's probably why you didn't pull a code with a generic code reader.

Don't need to be an ***. I was driving it and the light came on. And its a bully dog gt tuner. And I do know how to use it. All I asked was if anyone has had it happen to them or if they know what it could be. Im taking it to the dealer Thursday but I don't want to drive it if its something that could be major. Im 18 years old and bought it with my own money. I worked since I was 12 to buy it and when a check engine light comes on it usually.means something wrong. I was just wondering you ***.

Thank you. It makes sense that my tuner didn't read it if its something specific. Thanks again for the help.

They also changed some in 2010, where the same DTC could be one thing in 2009 and something else entirely in 2010. I learned that the hard way with a couple hours of diagnosing the complete wrong thing because my Snap-on Ethos wasn't up to date yet, so if you're using an old scanner on a new vehicle it's possible that you won't have an accurate reading anyway.

eeeek!! the mix between using the tuner and those "deep clean" fuel treatments could do anything...

Shouldn't be. If you're under 36k miles it'll be warranty anyway.

Yeah that too, stop adding that crap. If it was meant to be there Ford would tell you to put it there in the owners manual.
