Well I got the truck back and the install is what I expected and sounds really nice. Hits really hard. Only problem is they dented the **** out of my truck. Tried to tell me they didn't and I told him that would not fly. Either he took care of it or I refute the charges to my CC. I was so pissed off. Tried to tell me it came from behind the panel.... doesnt know anything about body work apparently. Now i have to wait for my paintless dent guy who does magic to try and take care of this. ughhhhhhhhh

Most DSP units can counter the affects of the head units built in equalization. A powered subwoofer would be just useless as the bass will be robbed by the head unit.

Well, not so much. I was also looking for a decent, compact powered sub and I purchased a Focal BUS25 10 inch powered sub.

For a single 10 inch, 120W sub it hits very well. It even has a remote gain which I ran up near the seat.

It was pricey as hell but not a single sub in it's size range that I have seen can touch it. Yes there are limitations to the factory Sony 700W (heheh) system but it made a huge improvement and the system now has some bottom end. To top it off it takes up half the space of the factory sub which, oddly enough, is for sale if anyone wants it

Man, $800 for that install? They didn't even use halfway decent cables and wire! And to route the wires up and around the bracket like that is crappy.

Hope they take care of your truck! That would pass me off!
