Default IN channel window visor problems

Stopped in at Tillmans truck accys here in Greenwood IN today to take a peek at there stuff. Told them I was interested in getting a pair of the smoked in channel window visors. He asked me what year, and I told him 2012 crew cab. He said that with the auto up feature ( one touch) when the windows go up and then hit the top they feel the increased friction/resistance and then auto down again. Safety feature.

I really don't want the stick on kind, Had them in the past, and they whistle and eventually peel off and get trashed in a carwash and wind.

Has anyone else heard of or experienced this?

Fixes ?

I have the revised version of AVS in channels on my 2012 crew cab, and Ive had zero problems with them and the auto up down feature! I recommend them highly!

Ditto! 3years+

The key with the WeatherTech is to seat them (i.e. keep the windows up) whenever possible for the 1st month or so. The summer heat also aids in contorting the window seals so that auto-up isn't affected.

I just finished posting on this. I just installed the Weathertech's in my 2013. There are specific instructions for models with the auto up. Use a second person to force the window up in the channel all the way, and leave them up for about a week, since it is cold out. Works fine and is not a big deal. Pay attention to the "tips for installation" at the bottom of the instruction set.

I e had my avs in-channels installed for about three months and my windows still bounce back down almost every time. I hate them. There's some formula for recalibrating the closing force of the window that supposedly fixes the problem but I haven't had a chance to try it yet.

Default are there any sellers on here?

I can buy them direct from weather tech, for $96 no tax, if i order a set of floor liners with them its free shipping. Can anyone beat that deal?

Amazon and ebay are in the $114 range some with free shipping some not.
