Changing battery
Combined energy of humans trapped in....wait, that's the Matrix.
I don't actually know offhand, but my first guess would be it has non-volatile memory in most/all of the computer systems. Like remote controls have had since the 1980s. I also don't know how long it lasts. If you start to swap a battery, and get delayed for 6 months in the middle of the process, it may reset everything.

Changed my battery and it took longer than 15 mins because I had to bring the old one with me to avoid the core charge, I'd say it was probably close to 45 mins with no battery and none of my radio presets changed, which surprised me indeed as every other vehicle I've had in the past all it took was less than a second with the battery disconnected to wipe it all out.
Only thing I remember having to do was reset the guidelines and such for the rear view camera in the cluster settings.

Well, this is the reason I did a search on “changing battery”. (Found Nothing). Thanks for all the responses.
Maybe the next person that does that search will find this thread :-)
For the “not safe” naysayers, volts x amps =Watts.
My battery charger was set to about 28 watts, it would barely make a spark if shorted to ground, and trips if over that.
The new battery made a difference in starting, glad I did it, no need to “learn new idle”, as stated in the owners manual.
