I plugged on of the scan tools that we have here at work into my truck. I went to check the MIL Emissions and it told me that if it was ready that when you start the truck it'll turn off.
If it isn't ready, then I assume the CEL will stay on solid at that time. Don't know how true that is or whatever, but that is the info it gave me.
