The only issues you would have is if you don't empty it regularly. I empty mine every 2 weeks (live in phoenix so never a lot in there).

Thanks, was thinking of getting one. Was wondering how much they really help in the long run. Yours pictured seems in a different spot than the usual firewall mounts I've seen.

The milky white fuel smelling crap that comes out of mine makes it totally worth it. Granted some of that would end up being burnt up by the engine, but it is gross looking.

The catch can is a UPR offering. *with extension.

Pic's without insulation ...
Original (non-extension) installation ...

You do need to check the one way valves once in a while. I bought a used UPR can and both the check valves where inoperative.

I think most of the people who run into problems with their catch cans tried to skimp on their original purchase and bought inferior products so they run into issues with the vacuum lines causing the can to not function correctly. I personally wouldn't suggest a can the size of the one DMJoe posted -- seems a little on the small side to me! With the way my truck operates, I'd need to drain a can that size 1-2x a week to get peace of mind. In the winter my truck can create around 8oz in a few days!

I’ve had a UPR catch can for over 100,000 miles and no issues. Just need to empty it every 3,500 - 5,000 miles.
