Default CAT BACK SI/SO help!

Ok, here goes. I need advice, opinions, and experiences from my fellow, 2009 and up, F150 owners in reference to what brand SI/SO cat back system I should get.

I have a 2010 Tuxedo black F150 XLT Screw with the 5.4 and 5.5 bed 2x4.

When I first get her, I was dead set on true duals. Just had to have them. I purchased an 18 inch DI/DO muffler, X-pipe, and nice big tips. I took it to the shop and the used 2.25 pipe and welded it all up.

I liked it very much. Sounded great, no popping, and so on. Something just was not right to me though.

After getting used to the duals, I always found my self thinking that a nice single system would look better. Weird huh? In the end I realized that my true dual system all pulled to the right side just did not look right for a truck. I seemed to always enjoy looking at the large single exhausts on the F250's and stuff. They just looked more bad ***.

So, I'm going back to single. A nice stainless, simple, large, system on the factory hangers with no cheap pipe and welded crappy hangers.

Im stuck between Corsa, Banks Monster, and Flowmaster.

In my opinion, Corsa sounds the best. However, it uses a 3 inch pipe all the way back and has a tiny tip with stupid U bolt clamps and they are pricey.

The banks has a nice big tip. A big 3.5 inch pipe and nice clamps, but the sound is the same old glass pack boring Magnaflow sound I am used too.

The Flowmaster, has that good default Flowmaster sound from a 50 series HD that I don't love, but don't hate. However, it uses that large 3.5 pipe along with band clamps and appears to be well built.

Any advice? Any other brands I missed? Experiences?

I want stainless, large tubing, good sound, and quality. So far, I'm leaning towards Banks.

I think duals look better. But I didn't see your old setup to see how it looked.

The Corsa dB has a 4 inch slash cut tip and the more expense corsa has a dual 4 inch tip. I think anything over 4 inch look to big on half tons. I've had a corsa on a 5.4 and now on my 5.0 and loved them both. Any v8 vehicle I own that Corsa make a catback for will have one.

Summarizing: get the corsa, sounds great, zero drone.

Great! Just some quick questions. How good is the tip welded on. I heard it was only spot welded in a few places. Also can you tell me what size pipe is between the muffler and the tip?

Perfect! I heard this kit was great except it comes with crappy u bolt clamps. Is that true? Can u please tell me what the pipe size is between the muffler and the tip? Thank you.

It does come with u bolt clamps, but I bought two 3" band clamps to replace them. From the muffler back is 3" mandrel bent. I've bought the 2 clamps and the double exit tip like on the $900 Corsa and still paid less than the high dollar kit. The only difference is my dB kit has slightly lower grade stainless piping, but I'm not lifted and never see snow/salt.

Love my Corsa db system as well. Great exhaust. I installed with the included hardware and have no problems.
