Default Cat-back exhausts

I'm a newbie and it's my first post on this site, so forgive me if this is a subject that's been overly discussed.

I've just purchased a '13 F150 FX4 and would like to upgrade my exhaust to something that will give it a nice low growl, with compromising the Eco-boost tuning.

I've looked on YouTube and listened to several systems. I wasn't impressed with any, but I chalked that up to poor sound quality of the recordings.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 4 inch hearthrob exhaust which eliminates the restrictive resonater and sounds good with very little drone inside the cab.

It's not the sound quality of the video clips. That is what your truck will sound like. Unless you like the sound of a little ricer with a fart can, I would skip the aftermarket exhaust on an Eco. JMO.

I'll have to agree with wtf150... As much as I would like the increase in performance, I don't want my premium truck sounding like a high school kids first taste of freedom from his old folks.

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm trying to avoid. I had decided to stick with the factory exhaust, unless I heard good things from the folks on here.

Agree with 150, virtually impossible to get a v6 to sound anything like an 8.

Check out the Stainless Works videos in the SW link in my signature. Can't make the 3.5 TT Ecoboost sound like a raging V8 but the SW does have a good growl and tone to it. Bogie can attest to that from hearing my setup ( SW offroad downpipes to S tube muffler catback ) in person. :-)
