Default carshield

I purchased a carshield extended warranty plan, it's $100 deductible and I hit a P2111 code on saturday night. Pulled my throttle body, cleaned it with a bucket of hospital wipes i had in the back seat, reassembled and the wrench symbol did not return. I didn't reset the code as I need the code to be present for any warranty repair to happen.
Does anyone have experience with car shield? Can I take it to a shop or do I have to contact carshield first? is a throttle body covered?
the deductible is cheaper than what the throttle body will cost me to replace, and I can get them to fix the driver side blend door as well(seems like a huge pain in the ***). I'm just wondering what the process is and if it's worth it?

What does the documentation you received when you signed up/paid for the warranty state to do?

If you didn’t receive any paperwork/documentation, I would question why you would have paid for it in the first place.

Usually a TB would be covered, and you probably have to contact the warranty company first, or possibly the mechanic would contact them. But, none of us really know what your contract says.

Also, they may not group unrelated repairs like that into one deductible. Or they might.

We ain't psychic.

Read your contract, it will tell you what is or isn't covered.

Oh sure, obfuscate the situation with common sense and logic.

I was looking for that one the other day when someone asked a Manual related question and I actually looked at the 2020 F150 manual to answer the question

Give Ice-T, Chris Bergman, or Earine Hudson a call or text, they're all spokes people for CarShield. Shoot, they may even come out a commercial from your driveway.

Is it too late to buy a ford esp and cash in this one. Third parties insurers are hard to deal with.
