Default Car Cover

Been thinking of getting a cover for my truck since it's no longer my daily driver. The truck stays under a carport and with the lights on under the carport at night it seems to collect a lot of bugs on top of it.

I found this one on eBay and it doesn't look bad!

I don't know anything about car covers but I have always been leery of them scratching the paint. Does the light have to be on? Or can it be moved?

The lights stay on at night so yes they have to be on and can't be moved.

I don't have a cover for my truck, but I have one for the Mustang. It's a CoverKing and it fits great. No scratches that I can see.

I am not sure how true this is for cars, but I do know for bikes stored inside a garage and under a cover, that the cover must be breathable or it promotes the build up of rust. I know nothing about the CoverKing product, but from a glance it looks to be a water resistant cover. This could be perfect for OP, but I like to store my bike under a thin cover designed only to keep dust off it. I don't know the brand off hand, but the texture of the material is very similar to a light weight bed sheet.

I can believe that, I had a cover on my ski boat and it enhanced/promoted mold growth, had to pressure wash it inside and out to get it clean, tossed the cover in the trash.

I only cover the car after I wash it and don't drive it right away. Sometimes it sits for a week before taking it out. After I drive it, the cover stays off until the next wash. Never had a problem with mold or anything like that.
