Default Can't decide on programmer...Edge,SCT, etc

Hello all,

Have had my 2012 F150 for about 5 months now and have finally saved up enough cash for a programmer. I just bought a roush exhaust and plan on getting the roush CAI, but I want to get the programmer purchased first. I'm new to the 5.0L, and I love it so far. I had an edge evo with the gryphon update on my 2006 5.4 and I never had any issues with it. I'm leaning towards the Edge Evolution CTS because I like the touchscreen, any reviews on this? I'm open to suggestions, and would appreciate any reviews people had on a particular setup they like. TIA

SCT is hands down the popular choice around here. I run 5* tunes which is also pretty popular.

I have an Edge Evolution converted to a Gryphon. But if I had to do it all over I would have a SCT Livewire.

SCTX4 is compatible with most custom tuners. Yep I have one as well. Can even load tunes from different builders on the same device. I have custom tunes from 5* and MPT loaded on it.

well save you money and forget the CAI, your stock intake already does the job... the aftermarket ones just look fancier.

go with the sct x4, plug it in once, and unplug it.... if you want touch screen without being wired to the truck, pick up a $6 bluetooth obd2 reader, and use torque app.

Seems sctx4 is the popular choice, I'll start looking into it tonight. Thanks for all the suggestions!

SCT does live vehicle diagnostic readouts or is it just a plug and program tuner? I like knowing my trans temp, oil pressure, etc.

I would be purchasing the X4. It does diagnostic readouts.
