I just talked to my auto body/painter today and he said he sands it down real well and starts spraying. He said sandblasting is a bit of overkill but idk i guess.

Ahhh...I see why Franchi pm'd me now. Yes this^^ is the best way. I was told almost the exact same thing from my PPG tech rep(he added to use an epoxy primer after sandblasting, then a urethane primer/sealer prior to color).

You can just scuff it probably apply adesion promotor, and paint it...you may be fine but it is riskier.

ok here we go, I have a 2010 XLT sterling grey with the chrome pkg and my bro-in-law has a 2010 FX4 black pkg, I'm 48 and he's 28, we are of two different demographics, I like the elegance of chrome, he likes the sporty look of all black, we both are fans of the F150 and we both like to show them off as well as exchange ideas and mods on how to make our trucks the best looking and best performing they can be. we don't razz each other about either truck, we just show a mutual appreiciation for what we have. (Can't we all just get along) we all choose ford because we all like what they have to offer and personal preference should'nt get between us.

For sure. I chose my Ford because everything about my EB was much better than the 4 Silverados and 2 Tundras I looked at, but thats for another thread i guess.

I know exactly what you mean haha took me over a year to finally pull the trigger on wheels because I couldn't find a set I liked enough, everyone likes to mix black and chrome on their products.... and over price them, I dug in deep to until I found mine and they were a great price!
