Buying a truck in Canada! - Need advice!
Currently Canada has Employee pricing going on until Sept 30.
Looking into purchasing a new F150. Curious as to how Ford breaks down the employee pricing. The specific model I am looking at has a $7250 delivery allowance and $6554 employee pricing discount, are both these rebates paid in full by Ford or is the dealer responsible for a portion?
MSRP is approx $54500 Canadian
Selling Price is $41500, there are other rebates etc.
I had asked the sales manager that if Ford Canada pays for the employee rebates and initial delivery allowance, then basically I'm buying this at list price?
The manager mentioned the dealership pays a portion of the employee discount, so no...
What do you all think?
Thanks!

I just purchased and got an extra $1000 for being a loyal Ford customer. So it was roughly $15000 off the sticker. Plus I got a drop in bed liner, mud flaps, bug deflector and rear wheel liners(on order) for another $176.
Dunno why $176, but that's what it worked out to be. Oh yeah, and a FULL tank. Around here, that's close to $200 in gas
I think I did well

I am coming from a gm truck so no loyalty unless he is willing to take my wifes 13 edge that we bought from the same sales guy 6 months ago, I am hoping to at least get all 4 flaps paid for and a few free services, I think 2 new vehicles from same salesman in 6 months is enough said and should be thrown in.

Check out the car saver website. It will give you the invoice price for the truck you are looking at in your postal code. That will give you an idea of how much negotiating room there is off the msrp (not including the rebates from ford)
Also learn a little about dealer holdback. It is possible for a dealer to sell a vehicle for less than the invoice price by dipping into the holdback. Also, if you are buying an in stock vehicle that has been on the lot for a while they might be more motivated to sell it for cheap because they are paying interest on the vehicles on the lot.
Good luck

the sales manager is lying to you those rebates paid by Ford Canada in order to move vehicles off the lot to make room for the new models, it's basically a way of the valuing the vehicle by year. you can actually get more off the price because they're still making a decent percentage off the sale. if the vehicle is on the lot the best time to buy is at the end of the month when the dealer is trying to fill his quota.
