I talked to the dealership and they said that it would not be covered under warranty at all. Basically I'm outta luck. I filed a claim with USAA so HOPEFULLY they'll cover it...it at least some of it. Fml

I sold the same tuner to a friend with a 5.7 dodge but the same thing happened and bricked the computer.
However bullydog was able to put the tool into recovery mode and upload the tune to the SD card for him so he could re-flash it to stock.
When you were re-tuning did you have the truck on a battery charger as they reccomend? this was the cause of my friends PCM freezing (because voltage dropped below spec for flashing the PCM so it froze)
I would try calling again and requesting them to send you stock files, make sure you have truck nearby because the tuner gives you a code, you read it to them and they give you the one you have to punch in to put it into recovery mode.
Something really bad electrically would have to happen to fry a current gen PCM, I highly doubt its fried. As long as you still get com on the OBD2 port and dont have to plug directly into it you should be able to fix it with recovery mode.
I hope you just got a lazy tech support person, on top of the fact they have bankers hours at bullydog

Sounds like you need to take your truck to a different shop if they don't know how to flash a PCM? That's like saying Internet Explorer fried your computer. Worse case scenario is you need to format the drive and do a clean install. Same deal with your truck.

Sorry to hear man, that sucks. This fear is the #1 reason I won't run a tune, way to scared! I had a BDGT on my Titan and I really didn't like it so I sold it off fast. That truck was out of warranty tho....

Yeah, build your own tune. That way instead of having a locked up PCM you can burn your pistons or turbo. That should be a lot cheaper to fix.
