Default Broken Hose - Overheatting

Hello all,
Can someone help me out to what hose this is.....I was out running some errands, got in the driveway and noticed steam coming from the motor....pop the hood and I can hear some hissing...but cant figure out where it was coming from. I moved a few hoses around and this one popped off. It looks like it cracked right at the joint.
When I grabbed the hose, it just came apart like you see below.

I have to wait for things to cool down before I take a better look, but can someone shed some light on what broke here?

Any help to fix it?

Thanks all
Rob

I take it, its pretty straight fwd to swap out. How does that hose end come off? (Where the arrow is)

Plastic tab - looks grey in the picture. It's a weird squeeze tab - press that then pull the hose end off (might have to wiggle/twist it). If you can't get the tab to play nice follow the short metal pipe down, remove that single bolt, then pull the pipe out and futz with the tab. You've essentially lost all your coolant at this point so it won't be a big mess. You're going to have to fight with a similar plastic tab at the firewall for the heater core side.

Was able to fix it with out replacing the entire hose.
Picked up
Dorman OE Solutions 3/4 Inch 90 Degree Heater Hose Connector
Part # 800-418
from O'Reilys
Hose clamp and a the new 90 - works like a charm!

Thanks for the help

You filled your coolant back up again afterwards, right?

Old thread I know but its not a 90º fitting, Is there a 45º version? The hose won't contort enough for me to make it work with the 90º version.
