Default Brakes

Hi - i have a 2013, 3.6L ecoboost crew cab. I have to replace my pads and rotors and I am curious what products / brands others are using. Live in Vancouver BC so rain for 8-9months of the year and use the truck to commute daily. Thanks in advance.

I was a big fan of the Powerstops when I had them on my 13. I went to EBCs on my 16 and have been pretty happy, although they are pretty hard on rotors.

Welcome

I live south of you a ways. So I get the rain thing. I had 1 caliper pin seizing up on me from water intrusion. I had to clean the caliper pin bore out to get the new pin to slide in it when I went through the brakes. I bought a little tub of the silicone brake grease for doing brake jobs. I had some moly based stuff I used before. I like the silicone based stuff for rubber compatibility.

I bought Raybestos for my 2012 F150. Just did all new rotors/pads. I rebuilt all the calipers, and all new caliper guide pins/rubber. I have been buying the coated rotors in recent years. Keeps rust down on the rotors. Rock Auto has a ton of choices on brake parts for the F150s.

I've got 30k miles so far on a set of NAPA pads/rotors. I've barked the tires before in emergency situations before the ABS kicks in. They're wearing well, no signs of pulsating, I've towed several times with them and never felt uncomfortable.
