Default Brake issue

So before leaving California, I had my brakes pads, rotor and the like replaced, but not master cylinder and brake booster. Drove cross country. I have had my truck sitting in the garage for about 2 months. Went to start it up, received the message that brake fluid was low. Add Dot 4 brake fluid and waited awhile, received the same message. Looked underneath truck and could not find leaking fluid anywhere. Need some advice and/or knowledge on what may be the problem, and how to check out the issue. I have a 2014 Ford F-150 XLT 3.7L.

Did you clear that code when you added the fluid? It could just be sticking there. If it's leaking into the master cylinder (where you can't see it), you should notice braking problems.

No I didn't, but after I received the next warning, I looked at my brake fluid and it was low again. As if it was never put in, though I put almost a full bottle.

That seems excessive. There’s something wrong. ABS module?Did you look up front for leaks?

If it's not leaking out, it must be leaking in, into the brake booster from the master cylinder.

I swear i saw reference to that not too long ago, a master cylinder recall perhaps? or just mention of it being a possible problem on Ford Techmakaloco's channel?

There's actually a recall related to this but it's for 3.5TT ecoboost equipped trucks.

So would you say, just replace both for safe measure (master cylinder and brake booster)?

Lots of folks dont like throwing parts, because of cost and the waste of replacing something that is not broken.. If the cost is a none issue, do both and be done with it and know that your brake system is close to being all new.
