Default Bov mod

Hey there i just joined the group. Quick question about bov mod on a 2013 f150 . When you remove the recirculation pipe to here the "woosh" and your on the throttle is it supposed to make the sound only when you let off the throttle or will you here it all the way till you let off?
Thanks Chris.

Only when you let off the throttle.

When you are under power that air is being used to power the engine. When you let off the throttle, you have air in the system that you don't need. Thats what a BOV does.

The whoosh you’re hearing at throttle could be the turbos themselves. I removed the two plastic spiral things inside the intake and the turbo noise is slightly louder. But the BTA BOV mod is only audible when you release the throttle after being under boost.

Ok thanks. I thought it was dumping air during wide open throttle.

Taking the two plastic air spinners out will make the sound even louder?

Yes it will make it slightly louder. Not a crazy difference, but I wasn’t about to put them back in once I had them out.
