Default Boss 302 intake manifold

Quick question.... Is it a direct bold on if I get a boss 302 intake manifold for my 5.0?

Yes other then I believe you can't use stock air box and you'll need a tune... Someone correct me if I'm wrong on the air box I'm sure there's probably a way to get it to work

There is a kit out there for what you wanna do.
http://www.5startuning.com/product/2...-boss-302-kit/
I'm not saying "buy this" or "this is the one" Just that if you look, I'm sure you will find that someone makes a kit for it or has the answer to your question.
Hope this helps.

I think the Boss 302 intake manifold looks sweet. Does it really make that much difference vs a tune alone?

I am using stock airbox and tube with my boss intak. Originally bought 5star kit But I live in very dusty environment and prefer stock filter.

Yes the boss plus a tune beats just the tune hands down 5star has some dyno graphs to compare.. It gains a lil torque down low and more torque and horsepower up top... If I remember correctly it makes more torque all the way across the rpm range now of course it's not a monster amount all the way across but still a gain nonetheless all the way across

I have the boss 302 intake from Mike at 5 star, on my '11 fx4. I'm taking it off this weekend, cause the dealer, where I'm trading it wants it stock. When they test drove the truck, he ask me what I had done to it? I showed him, and he was very impressed with the performance. I ran the 93 tune most of the time. We also put a Flowmaster super 44. The truck ran awesome. Mike at 5 star is awesome. Very satisfied.
