Yea, I had a tie rod go bad and needed the rack and pinion replacement on a 2004 silverado when I got rid of it. Truck only had 70,000 miles on it and never did anything but highway driving. Never seen a tie rod go bad that quick on a stock pavement queen....

Part of the reason i went to the F150. That and I though GM made a crappy looking truck

And don't forget the piston slap that practically every silverado/tahoe/suburban between 2000 to 2008 or thereabouts had! Those things sounded like a diesel when first cranked.

Good luck with the lawsuit route. I do not think Ford ever issued a recall for the terrible 6.0 Powerstroke diesels even though: internal company memos showed it was the worst engine they ever installed in a vehicle, they are suing Navistar because of all the failures, and they lost a lawsuit with the Ambulance Association because of all the 6.0 failures in ambulances.
