You owe 35,000 dollars on a 2014 F150. That is pure insanity!!! I think maybe, cut your losses, file for bankruptcy, and drive beaters for awhile until you get back on your feet. And please, seek professional financial advise.

There is 200,000 km on my truck. I figured a light would come on and say “low oil”.
I live in BC. Not sure if the prices I’ve read on here would be the same in my area.
(This is the only Ford I’ve owned & had issues with it from the beginning, that’s why I chose the user name Anti Ford) not a troll lol just a lady who neglected to check the oil 😬 and hoping I can find some better quotes than what my mechanic told me.

You don't "check oil" and add some if it is low. That is what you do for washer fluid. Oil needs to be changed every 5000 miles, 8000 km.
Most people here are USA residents, and think in terms of USD. 8500CAD is probably a good price, and 35000CAD remaining on a loan isn't completely crazy. It is high for that mileage, though, get it paid down.

8,500 cad is high for a used motor installed. Call the nearest bigger town, even try a Ford dealership and see what a new remanufactured one cost. You could also take the initiative and call some junkyards. Maybe they will sell you one cheap and deliver it to a nearby mechanic who can install it.
I would give the numbers in usd, not a lot of folks realize the drastic conversion. 36,000 cad is 26,000 usd - upside down still, but typically so.

I'm not sure why the time stamps are off. I wrote and posted my comment before that post was made.

Time stamps look fine to me, her comment was at the top of 3 not back on 2. Before your comment.
