Thanks for the info, should have read manual better, too. I have a power magic, but I have no clue if it is working well or not, seems weather it is off or on, the camera always runs, I need to check my wiring on that.

Are you using the Power Magic Pro or just leaving the unit powered through your 12v adapter in the truck? If the unit is just powered on recording 1-3 min videos all day, the unit may be pushing the fail safe heat cutoff. When using the Power Magic Pro, the unit is only recording a 10-40 sec clip which means there is less processing by the camera and less heat build up. My DR650 here in Austin will get to about 132F during the summer but that is not a problem, just normal operation. As these units are so compact, they are naturally going to run hot by design and have a fail safe cutoff at 140F to protect the unit itself.

As for the 3M sticker, the VHB is a super adhesive compound tape (provided that the glass was cleaned prior to installation) that typically will not fall off the windshield. Once it is stuck on the windshield, you will have to force the mount off the glass if you are wanting it taken down.

Here is the install on my 2013 F150 and have had 3 BlackVue units without any problems or issues.

As for the Check SD Card alert, this is generally caused by the camera not being able to write any new files to the SD card (e.g. full of 'event' files). You can quickly clear the memory card by holding down the WiFi button for 10 seconds, but you should also be sure to format your SD card once a month as advised in the manual and that will pretty much solve any of the SD card alerts.

I have the 550 and I used to get the "check sd card" all the time, my cams stay on 24/7. I narrowed it down to the sd card itself. I was using a 64G card, took it out and put the max 16G recommended in and haven't had any more issues.
