Default Blackouts

Ok, so I can't stand looking at my giant chrome headlights and chrome tails any more. What are my "blackout" options and where do I get them???

Thanks! I will have the windows tinted as soon as the weather warms, unfortunately my garage isn't heated

Only thing I didn't like about night shade is after a while it starts looking dull and I'm not sure how you could fix it once its on there. I painted my lights with a reduced black paint, 5 coats of clear then wet sanded and buffed them. It will last as long as the rest of the paint and you can always buff them again if they get dull.

Lamin-X tinting film.

Cheap, easy to apply, comes in as light or as dark a version as you want, and looks great!

I think the dark tinted film would look great on your truck!

Line-X the running boards too, that looks great also!

Here are some before and afters of my lights and running boards.
The running boards were rusting already, after less than a year from brand new! Now that they are Line-X'd I sure hope they'll basically last forever!

For tails, I couldn't see spending the $400 for Recon....I found a guy on eBay who professionally tints factory OEM taillights, and guarantees them for life against peeling, fading or cracking. $170 for the pair. Plus, he will buy your factory ones for $75 if you want.

I know it's expensive and all, but I had my headlights retrofitted, and blacked them completely out

I have some buddies that have sprayed clear coat on them to stop them from fading in the sun, seems to work pretty well and keeps that nice shine to them!
