Default black or chrome

Okay so i need some help.. I am not a fan of chrome on my truck so i think i want to start blacking out parts of it. I already removed my chrome steps, would my truck look good with a black grill and black bumpers?
Thanks

I think it would. You going to dip your grill or buy a new one? The Raptiod grill would look nice on that truck if the rest was blacked out. I want that grill buy have to much chrome on mine.

Yeah i think i will dip the bumpers and get the matt black raptor style grill. I feel like dipping too much would look cheesy

I like paint to match over the blacked out look. Maybe vinyl wrap the bumpers and paint the chrome surround of your grill

You've run into the same problem I had. I'd PTM that grille surround, use some FX/HD heads and tails, and call it a day. I don't think blacked out bumpers and grille would look that good. I'm not a huge fan of chrome either, a little goes a long way, but substituting black for chrome just sometimes makes it appear even more gaudy depending on the color. I think on yours it would just look like the truck had been in an accident, and no one bothered to paint the bumpers.
Possibly get the door handles and scratch shields PTMed as well?

FWIW, totally different color, and you may not like it, but here's mine;

I'm a fan of the FX4 look. Imo, I think the grill blacked out and color matched bumpers would look great... but all you're doing is turning it into a pseudo fx4 or an stx.
Maybe a less chrome grill would be a good start. A lot of guys won't agree with me, but I think the c-clamp is a tough looking grill. While the 4 and 6 bar grills take a more classy approach.
I'm always torn on black bumpers when the body is a different color.
I'm not helping your decision much am I.... ?

You will definitely cheapen the look of your truck if you black out all of the chrome. I am with the others on PTM the grille surround If a vinyl wrap is even possible with your color, that would be the way to go on bumpers. If not I would PTM them too.

I like the vinyl wrap idea, anyone know where to get it for a decent price?
