Can someone tell me what the black box under the driver seat, attatched to the frame, is on my 2011 SCrew?

I think that is the purge canister. Yup it is. Its full of charcoal. The gas tank vents its vapors into this thing

Sensor that measures weight in the seat for airbags. Damn seatbelt light went off when the dog was sitting in the passenger seat. Same sensor.

It's under the cab. Why does it have wires plugged into both ends of it?

I'll try to find a part number on it tomorrow when it is light out. Maby a search of the part number will tell what it is.

It converts mph to kmh, and the box to convert it the other way is twice the size

I always assumed it was a flow meter for the fuel. Aren't the fuel lines running through it as well?

Didn't see the fuel line, but it should run along the frame. I'll look when it gets light out.
