Default Bilstein 5100 Leveling Shocks Question

There's a dealer near me who said I can have them put on my Bilstein 5100s and maintain my warantee. The quote they gave today was more than the quote they gave a few months ago, before I had actually bought the 5100s. So I figured I would call another dealer just to see. Dealer #2 said they won't put them on because they change suspension geometry thus void my warantee. I guess I'm going with Dealer #1!

I figure maybe it's just a case of the Saturday crew being the guys who aren't fit to do more than an oil change. Gonna call both back on Monday.

Does anyone have experience with leveling kits, or even 5100s specifically? I know others have had theirs dealer installed.

What kind of effect getting the 5100s installed will have on the warranty.

The dealer would have to prove that the 5100s actually caused whatever ford part to fail. They can't just void your warranty because they are on there. Paint them black and I doubt the dealer would even notice.

im a newbie, sooo.. whats the purpose of blistens? if you have a lets say 6" lift, they already have a suspension lift? Do people put these on for more support? or is this a lift its self??

The 5100s are adjustable. They can be replacements at stock height, or provide up to 2.25" of lift in front to level the truck's stance.
