I had this happen on mine when I installed them, turned out I needed new upper strut mounts. I hope it's not that for you, they can be kind of pricey depending on what you get.

I would just do stock replacements and $50ish on Rock Auto is totally doable.

Yep, as long as you have the tools to take everything apart to get to them. I paid to have mine replaced because I really didn't want to mess with taking all that apart lol.

It's a pain in the ***, I hate compressing springs. But yes, I have all the tools and sometimes the knowledge.. lol
